ABOUT
Welcome to MDM Photographic, situated in Crows Nest on the lower North Shore of Sydney. My name is Paul Marshall and my studio is a portrait, fashion and product studio.
My Journey with photography started around 1989 with a 35mm Ricoh SLR, black and white film, and many hours spent in darkrooms. This set the foundation for what I think a photo 'should' look like. Come 1993 I was studying Visual Arts at Uni with a focus on photography and etching / printmaking.
In 2007 I completed a Diploma in Digital Media, something I was already very well versed in after 10 years of freelance media creation.
It's been ten years since then and I've worked in music, multimedia, design and photography since - It's safe to say I have a very broad background across the wide field that is 'arts', both traditional and digital. All of this helps me with my now singular focus on photography
and across several forms of this format.
My studio has great natural light when needed and 6 strobes onsite for creative control across a broad range of photographic styles. A permanent backdrop support has the ability to run up to 4 backdrops. The studio has a wooden floor and bright white walls, it's versatile and always ready to shoot. I can shoot tethered or Wifi when needed, and that's as technical as I'll get here.
Asides from the studio, I'm available for all kinds of location work, family shoots, events, and more.
I offer full retouching and editing, and in house printing services, with my experience in Photoshop going back to it's very beginnings.
